"Preach The Gospel, Plant The Church, In South East Asia"
The 26 Un-Reached Peoples We Pray For

There are over 1800 different people groups in South East Asia.  The Joshua Project lists 673 of these people groups as "unreached" meaning that there is an insignificant Christian presence within those groups.

South East Asia Mission Teams has chosen 26 people groups from among these 673 to focus on.  We pray especially for these people groups in hopes that the Lord will raise up church planters to go and preach the gospel to them and plant churches within the groups.

Our criteria for choosing these groups is primarily need.  Most of these groups have few if any Christians or churches.  A few of them have some work going on.  SEAMIST is engaged in working in several of these groups as well, and some progress is being made.  For those who wonder why we do this, we can only say that the Lord loves all these peoples, Jesus died for all these peoples, and God wants to bless the people within all these groups by saving them, healing them, and prospering their lives now and eternally.

Everyone ought to hear the good news and SEAMIST feels the love of God and His desire to help these peoples.  So, we pray, we give, we go, we preach the gospel, we plant churches, we do all we can do to extend the kingdom of God to everyone who will listen and believe!

The Twenty Six, Country By Country - NOTE: some people groupss are in more than one country!  Each people we focus on has a page of information on our website...  just click the people group names for more info and links to other resources.

Who?  What? Where?

"In a nutshell" as they say, SEAMIST works in South East Asia!  We plant churches in South East Asia.  We try to focus all our efforts and resources on reaching the least reached peoples in South East Asia.

What does "least reached" mean?  It simply means the people groups that have few or no workers reaching out to them, few or no churches or believers in Jesus Christ.  These would be the most needy of all people in the world!

Our workers are trained to use contextual methods to share the good news.We just want everyone to know about Jesus!  Our goal is always to leave behind a New Testament church.
